J.F. SCHWARZLOSE BERLIN is one of Germany’s oldest perfume houses, founded in Berlin in 1856. Once a celebrated name in European perfumery and supplier to the Prussian court, the house became known for its innovative spirit and elegant creations before disappearing from the scene. In 2012, J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin was revived with a new vision: to reinterpret the spirit of Berlin through contemporary fragrances.
The collection reflects the city itself: cosmopolitan, creative and constantly evolving. Inspired by Berlin’s cultural heritage, its artistic energy and its contrasts, the perfumes combine timeless elegance with a modern edge. They are sophisticated without being distant, distinctive without needing to be loud.

Lutz Herrmann, creative director
Creative Director Lutz Herrmann and perfumer Véronique Nyberg bring together history, craftsmanship and innovation in every creation. Using precious natural ingredients and highly concentrated perfume oils, they create fragrances with depth and character, designed to reveal themselves gradually on the skin.
J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin captures the essence of a city where the past and the future exist side by side: refined, independent and unmistakably Berlin.
