SO.36 takes its name from Südost 36, the old postal district of Kreuzberg. What was once a postcode became a badge of identity, closely associated with the rebellious, multicultural spirit of the neighbourhood.
Since the late 1970s, SO36 has also been the name of one of Berlin’s legendary alternative clubs, a home to punk, New Wave and countless other sounds and subcultures.
