Story

An explosive fruity opening subtly blending citrus notes, blackcurrant buds and pink pepper recalls the bouquet of Syrah grapes. The dark, earthy aspect of vintage patchouli counterbalances this ultra-modern chypre, revisited in the style of a perfumer-oenologist. The Patchouli variety

Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin), Indonesia's olfactory treasure, flourishes in the humid tropical climates of this exotic island. Grown on hilly terrain, this precious ingredient requires fertile, acidic soil to thrive. Sown during the rainy season, it unfurls its velvety leaves, bursting with essential oils, after six months of careful cultivation. The meticulous harvest focuses on the ripe leaves, which are sun-dried to intensify their distinct, earthy fragrance. This ancestral practice, woven into the local economic fabric, illustrates how patchouli has become a pillar of the perfume industry, a symbol of Indonesian craftsmanship and sensory elegance.
