AKRO was born from a unique collaboration between father and daughter, where deep perfumery expertise and a fresh creative vision come together. The house was founded by Anaïs Cresp, daughter of Olivier Cresp, one of the most influential master perfumers of his generation and a descendant of a family with strong roots in Grasse, the historic heart of French perfumery.
With iconic creations such as Angel for Thierry Mugler, a fragrance that defined the gourmand fragrance family, Olivier Cresp has left a lasting mark on modern perfumery. His work is driven by curiosity, a fascination for unexpected materials and the ability to transform familiar scents into something surprising and memorable.
Olivier and Anaïs Cresp
AKRO originates from Anaïs Cresp’s fascination with the scents surrounding her during her time in London: coffee houses, old pubs, flower stalls, charcoal grills and the smoky atmosphere of the city. She imagined a different approach to perfume: one where our personal pleasures and little obsessions could become the source of inspiration.
Each AKRO fragrance tells the story of a temptation we find difficult to resist. The aroma of a strong espresso in the morning, a glass of whisky after a long day, dark chocolate, warm tobacco or the thrill of a forbidden moment. AKRO creates perfumes around our everyday indulgences and guilty pleasures, inviting us to embrace them rather than hide them.
With its provocative concept and distinctive style, AKRO explores the space between pleasure and obsession. The collection plays with desire and attraction, revealing that the most captivating scents can sometimes come from unexpected places.
