The Nagarmotha variety

Cyperus scariosus, known as nagarmotha or mustak in India, is cultivated with meticulous care, with an emphasis on extracting its precious rhizomes. Nestled in the tropical and subtropical regions of the country, this aromatic plant thrives under the warm sun and in well-drained soils. Cultivated with a combination of tradition and precision, each rhizome is carefully nurtured to maturity. Revered for their unique olfactory profile, these underground treasures produce essential oils renowned for their earthy and woody notes, prized in the field of perfumery. This artisanal process embodies luxury, capturing the essence of India's aromatic heritage in each refined extract.
