Tom Hidvégi, the scent weaver behind Brodēon
Born in Hungary with roots stretching to France, Canada and Israel, Tom Hidvégi’s life reads like a travel diary written in colours, textures and scents. Each place he’s called home has added a new thread to his artistic fabric.
Before entering the world of perfume, Tom’s creativity bloomed in advertising. He crafted global campaigns and designed labels that caught eyes long before they caught noses. But his true fascination began somewhere more intimate: his own kitchen. There, among jars and bottles, he started mixing homemade cosmetics and stumbled upon the quiet magic of scent creation.

Tom Hidvégi, founder of Brodēon
What began as kitchen alchemy grew into a lifelong devotion. Tom trained in Florence, apprenticed in Paris, and slowly shaped his craft into a language of its own. For him, perfume is a way to decode emotions and stitch them into invisible patterns.
His perfume house, Brodēon, takes its name from the French broder (to embroider). Each fragrance is like an embroidered story, built from threads of memory and emotion. Every note he blends feels like a delicate stitch, forming a sensorial tapestry that lingers, whispers, and stays with you long after the last trace fades.
Tom’s perfumes stand as unique creations, each with its own personality and mood, yet they love to mingle. Layering them reveals new textures and unexpected harmonies, like pairing two instruments to compose a melody that’s entirely your own.
