Musc des Sables is a rare combination of two of the most expensive ingredients in perfumery: orris (the root of iris) and ambergris. 

The result: a kind of olfactory mirage, irradiating, clearly outstanding in the world of balsamic, musky, ambery perfumes.

Ambergris is a hard waxy product from the intestines of sperm whales. Lumps of ambergris float on the sea where they are sometimes picked up by fishermen, or wash up sporadically on beaches.
